Located in the Starfield Co Ex Mall, this restaurant may be a bit challenging to find. However, once you do, you will be pleasantly surprised by its authenticity and popularity among locals. The menu may not have many vegan options due to the fish sauce used in almost all noodle dishes (including those with clams). Please note that the red bean noodle is only available seasonally and not during the summer months. I highly recommend trying the shimmering bright pancake, as it was truly delicious.
This restaurant is quite difficult to find, but I suggest going to COEX mall and using the map screens there to locate it. I tried the potato pancakes, which were very satisfying, and also ordered the cold noodles in soy milk, which were pretty decent as well.
Located inside the Starfield Co Ex mall, this restaurant can be a bit tricky to find but is worth the hunt. It is a hidden gem, popular among locals. They offer mostly authentic dishes, although there are limited options for vegans as most noodles contain fish sauce (specifically clams). However, the red bean noodle is a suitable option for those looking for a vegan choice, although it is only available seasonally and not during the summer. I personally enjoyed the scallion light pancake, which was delicious.
This restaurant offers delicious homemade pasta dishes and pancakes overall! Some menu items are vegetarian-friendly or can be made vegan, but most secondary dishes (such as soup and kimchi) contain fish products. When I mentioned this to the staff, they were a little confused but still friendly and helpful. The vegan potato pancakes (Gamjajeon 감more) are thick, crispy, and absolutely amazing. The other pancakes contain egg, but they are also very well-made. This is definitely one of my favorite pancake restaurants in Seoul! Another vegan option is the cold noodles in soybean soup (Kong-guksu 콩 Adults), which is beautifully served and satisfyingly creamy.
