Excellent breakfast and restaurant service. The spa and the small but well-equipped gym are beautiful. We will always come back and we recommend you to go there sometime too
Extremely rude staff, food below average. When they asked how much we enjoyed the food and we told them the salad was so bitter we couldnt eat it. The waiter almost shouted at us, that it is a bitter salad, dont know what our problem is. We tried this place twice, was a mistake both occasions.
This hotel is at the top of Val Gardena before Passo Sella. Breathtaking views. 2 floors. Comfortable king size bed with wonderful sheets. Very clean. View from every room of the Dolomites. When you check in, they will ask you to look over the Chef's menu for the evening. Each night you will be seated at your own table with white linen table cloth/napkins, crystal. There is a 5 course dinner with 2-3 options per each course. This is worth adding to your bill... 1) because the nearest restaurant is back down the mountain pass in Ortesei and if you like wine/beer you don't want to drive under the influence back up the mountain 2) the food was delicious. Each night the meal begins with an open charcuterie area. When you are ready for the meal, the 5 courses begin.... appetizer, pasta or soup, veal osso bucco was one night, dessert. Good wine selection including wines from that area of Italy. Breathtaking views of the mountains. Candle light. Breakfast is at your same table... server will bring your choice of cappuccino, espresso, etc. Yogurt bar, meat/cheeses, cereals, breads/croissants, eggs, bacon/sausage, juices. Turkish bath is there if needed after the long hike/cycling. You can ask for a massage to be set up. Definitely a hotel for couples and for those that are serious about hiking or cycling. Of note, we weren't hikers/cyclists, had to adjust to the altitude, but had a lovely time.
