Baliku Fine Food More - SCICLI

Nice food but very unfriendly owner. Be careful of what you order.

It is a terrace on the main pedestrian street of Scicli. It was the only restaurant we found available in Scicli on a Friday night, and we were early. The food was correct, the typical Sicilian antipasti (arancini, cheeses, focaccia... were good, but the cod for second course was somewhat salty. We chose the white wine from the area, also correct. Where the restaurant did falter was in 2 things: 1 Speed: They were very slow. So much so that while we waited we saw a table leaving because they didn't even take notice. We had no choice, so we waited stoically. 2 Atmosphere: There was live music, a singer who did not do bad, but the volume was too loud for a nice dinner. And when he didn't sing he played music even louder... a disaster come on! We ended up paying €41, which I wouldn't pay again for the service.

A place in the historic center, in a decentralized but very characteristic street behind Palazzo Spadaro. The aim is to make known the tradition of the ride of San Giuseppe which is very popular in Scicli in the province of Ragusa and the horses are decorated with flowers of balucu and wallflowers with the knights dressed in typical and ancient clothes

In the summer I bought a packaged lemon ice cream, but it was all spoiled and of a brownish color.
