Hot Wok Chinese Express - SCHOFIELD

I was so glad to see that even during the pandemic this restaurant ran with the same great quality I always loved. I ordered chicken fried rice, sweet and acidic chicken and crabs Rangoons and they were all made with the best quality you could expect. I suggest you eat here because you won't be disappointed.

Ordered lunch special is the price at $6 and it comes with your choice of a soda or egg roll. The rice was fine, it was simply roasted rice with nothing in it. I ordered General Tso Chicken because it is a clamp and is usually quite consistent. The General Tso Chicken was very tasty, crispy and great taste. The only negative was a small part. Overall for $6 I felt it was an average price for the meal, but I just wished that the part was a little bigger.

Hotwok is the best Chinese food place in Wausau. It was my favorite since I was a little girl! I had her number since I was 10, only so I could order the delivery for myself if I had additional money, lol. I still eat here all these years later. Now I have introduced my own son into hot food and he's just as big as me!

Building is not pretty... but the food is GREAT always fresh. Always made to order. I recommend BeyondMenu app for ordering before and using drive thru (you can pay before or in the window).

My husband had Kung pow chicken and it was spiced just right. I had cashew chicken. We had two eggrolls. It was delicious! We are normally in Madison and they have happy wok there. This is real comparable to happy wok in Madison. If you’re not familiar with that, that’s all right. This was everything it should be. We ordered it, and it was ready for us to take it away in about 5 to 8 minutes. The food came with two sodas. Including a two dollar tip the whole thing was less than $20. It was fast, hot and absolutely delicious! We will come back and eat again at this place!
