Around the 19th-20th century were made plans to transform the village into a holiday resort. the roads were built, some houses were built and canalizations were laid. ravenscar never reached popularity and the development was unfinished mainly due to the long walk to reach the rocky beach. the railway was also closed in 1965, so now the place is a little left near the old railway station, apart from a small tee room. this place was totally old-fashioned, plastic tablecloths on table old frames on the wall, it was also miles away from everything. but guess what? it was full. we had to wait to get a table, as this place is a pitstop for hiking and cycling enthusiasts, which along the old railway. I loved this place, it was old school, people who worked there were all nice and authentic, so a massive difference with some of the pretentious afternoons in london. I had a Victorian sponge cake
Great halfway stop off on our walk, the Scones were delicious and the service was excellent. What a gem! Keep up the good work guys! Highly recommended.
Lovely tea room offering excellent basic food and drinks with gluten free options. Freindly chatty staff. Very good value for money. Not open Tuesdays. Closed in January!
Wonderful breakfast and Teacake. Nice pot of tea and wonderful americano all at reasonable prices. Nice little gem in Ravenscar. friendly and pleasant and friendly staff!
