Low & Slow Smoked Fusion BBQ

Didn't love the BBQ chicken or the samples of the BBQ meat platter that I tried. I did love the corn bread & cocktails. The service was great and welcoming, but I found the food mediocre and somewhat overpriced. I would go again, but I think there are far better restaurants in the area.

The ribs were tough. NOT the least bit tender. Had to saw with a knife! Good service, but out of the way location.

Very poor service. Arrived without a reservation and they were full. Made a reservation for the following evening, and when we arrived, they did not have a place for us. I would recommend exploring other options otherwise you may find yourself going hungry.

Had a platter with an assortment of BBQ meats. The brisket was excellent but the rest were a little dry. All was forgiven with the dessert which was exceptional.

What good is a city without a great BBQ joint? Low and Slow has a different take on the standards. First, the meats are extremely lean. We had a 'porketta', chunky port well seasoned with the rub and virtually no fat. We also had an excellent jambalaya, spicy with generous portions of andouille sausage, tender chicken breast, mid-sized shrimp and with a separate portion of rice. Portions are very generous, enough for 2 meals if you are not too hungry. The cornbread was good but not sweet, but I would have preferred a bit more grit.. They have a good selection of local Canadian craft beers (also excellent) on tap. A jazz band was playing when we went there too. I'm looking forward to trying their other southern entrees next time we are in town.Service was outstanding.
