East End Husky - Sault Ste. Marie

We've had meals here twice now and both times were excellent. You won't go away hungry and while the menu and cooking is basic it is really good!

Ordered regular breakfast with well cooked home fries. The home fries were raw potatoes. Could not eat them. My wife's eggs Benedict were smothered in sauce enough for 6 eggs. She could not eat it. Really disappointed. This happened the last time we were here. How fn hard is it to read the order and cook it to customers satisfaction ??? I guess really difficult !!!!

Certainly not the fancy spot, but very friendly and yummy food. We shared a monstrous Apple crisp with ice cream. Everyone else appeared happy with their meal. Truck Stop, we overnighted in our moho in the parking lot.

Went for breakfast, can't speak to lunch or dinner, but brekkie was very good and filling. the only down side was the night server who at change of shift had both , whining and complaining about their shifts and job while customers waited for the none existent coffee refills. Shut up gals and serve the customers. 20 minutes of listening to you to both was a huge turnoff from the good food. You don't like your job then quit!!!

A few months ago my husband and I were on our way out of town and decided to stop at the Husky for dinner as it was convenient and we've been there for breakfast in the past and it was fantastic! However...dinner was a different story. Realizing it is a truck stop our expectations were not too high to begin with. But their breakfast was great so we gave it a chance. Our server was not very knowledgeable when we asked simple questions on how the food was prepared. I ordered the fish & chips which came with a garden salad. The salad arrived with a half of a white onion cut into quarters covering almost the entire plate and to boot it was layered with bread and butter pickles on top??? Very bizarre indeed. When the fish arrived it was a generous portion which had a very strong fish smell and taste which indicates that the fish is old and has been sitting out too long. After my first bite I noticed a long black hair fried into the batter...so gross. My husband ordered a Salisbury steak with mushrooms and onions. The mashed potatoes were supposed to be real, but rather they were instant potatoes and the Salisbury steak was just ok. Definitely disappointed after having their breakfast. I realize that it is a truck stop, but the atmosphere was very cold...nothing but simple tables and chairs a one large wall clock..no blinds or window treatments of any kind...kind of felt like a hospital cafeteria. Do go for breakfast though!
