Red Dock Cafe - Saugatuck

This is an amazing place, and we had a fantastic time. I tried the hippie punch, and it was delightful. It was a stunning day to enjoy this by the waterfront. They have tables both with and without screens, along with music and food options. I had a veggie wrap and some chips, which were delicious. We really enjoyed our experience and can't wait to return. It's such a shame that they will have to close permanently as of 9/24/21 because the dock owners are no longer renting to them.

What a fantastic time! I'm really glad we discovered this place. There are plenty of seats by the water, either in the sun or under the roof. The decorations and amusing characters and photos are delightful. As the sign says, there's cold beer, loud music, and a less-than-pleasant bathroom. Boats can also get drinks and food here. The staff is friendly and has a great sense of humor! I can't wait to return in a few weeks. They accept cash and cards, and there's ample parking available.

I ordered the Barbecue Pulled Pork Sandwich with a side of noodles, while my aunt, who told me about this spot, chose the Otis Sandwich. The sandwiches are baked, so there’s a bit of a wait. First off, these sandwiches are massive! My pulled pork was overflowing with meat—it felt like at least 2 pounds! The sandwich was spectacular; every bite was incredibly juicy. It wasn’t overly sauced with barbecue, allowing the delicious pork to shine through, which was perfectly fine because the pork was amazing. The bread it was served on was also excellent. The noodles I got were served cold; they were decent but nothing to write home about. I ended up taking two-thirds of them back with me and reheated them later, which made them much better. My aunt loved her Otis Sandwich as well. The sandwiches are around $12 without a side, but their generous size definitely makes them worth it. The service was mostly good—very attentive, but it felt a bit underwhelming overall. I sensed some of the staff might have been a bit rude. Still, I would rate my experience a solid 5 stars. That was one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in years. Will I return? Absolutely!

So funny! A little off the beaten path, but worth the trip. Basically sitting on the water with magnificent views in an authentic island bar setting. Play music. Nothing beautiful but good service and a great place to eat and hang.
