Pasta Armellino - Saratoga

The restaurant in Saratoga is permanently closed. It's quite misleading since Yelp lists it as having four stars, but when you look inside, there's just a large step ladder in the window and nothing else except for some sheets of white paint.

This location is currently closed (as of mid-October 2023). I look forward to trying a different location soon.

I can’t recommend Pasta Armellino highly enough! The pasta is cooked to absolute al dente perfection, showcasing the chef's impressive skills. The sauces are made with care and authenticity, resulting in an explosion of flavors with every bite. I've heard that the chef comes from the renowned kitchens of Plumed Horse and Gramercy, and after experiencing the pasta for myself, I can confidently say it’s truly the best I've ever tasted. This is, without a doubt, pasta perfection!

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this restaurant. The pasta I ordered had an overpowering alcoholic taste and made the pasta bitter, indicating that the wine wasn't properly evaporated during cooking, and it was not even mentioned on the menu that this dish contain alcohol. When I requested a refire, the waiter claimed that he can't taste any alcohol. However, the refired dish without alcohol has a totally different taste. His word is not that convincing to me. To make matters worse, I found a short hair in my second pasta, and it definitely wasn't mine since my hair is way longer. When I brought this to the waiter's attention, he refused to remove the pasta from the bill, citing that I had eaten half of both pasta. While I'm not concerned about the money, the attitude towards customers was truly disappointing.
