Siesta Key Wine - Sarasota

I don't quite understand the appeal of this place. It has an aroma reminiscent of an old country store, like somewhere you'd buy pancake mix, a cast iron pan, or even a bar of soap. The scent is a bit like potpourri—something I don’t mind, but it doesn’t fit a wine bar atmosphere. We weren’t offered any water during our visit, which I think is essential when enjoying wine. The service left a lot to be desired. It was busy when we first arrived, but once the crowd cleared and our glasses were empty, we didn’t see the bartender again. She seemed more interested in chatting with customers at the main bar. The wine selection was pretty limited as well. We didn’t opt for a flight, but we definitely would have appreciated one given the lackluster choices. I won’t be returning for a second time; I can enjoy much better wine at home for a fraction of the price.

The Siesta Key Wine Bar is a lovely spot with a great atmosphere. They offer a good selection of wines and have appealing decor. The prices are also quite reasonable.

We've been visiting the wine bar every year during our trips to Siesta Key. This time, we decided to go back for a second visit after missing out on wine flights the other day. We hurried off the beach, got the kids dressed, and made it to the wine bar just in time. However, when we arrived, the staff informed us that we couldn't sit inside or order wine flights because a larger party had priority. Feeling disappointed, we chose to leave. As we were exiting, another couple mentioned they had also been sent outside for the same reason. While I understand that larger parties can be beneficial for business, it shouldn't come at the expense of loyal, returning customers and good customer service.

Fantastic wine and a lovely atmosphere! The owners are wonderful, and I visit often because they truly make you feel like part of the family.
