Rico's Pizzeria - Sarasota

When I visited Rico, I felt like I was back in New York! I traveled to Florida in search of authentic New York City pizza, and this place is definitely one of the best. This local family-run business really stands out. I originally came for a single slice, but now I can’t wait to try so many other delicious items on the menu!

The pizza here is fantastic—crispy and packed with flavor! I tried the Margherita pizza with extra basil, and it was delightful. The customer service was exceptional, and having the television entertainment added a lovely touch to the experience. I highly recommend this restaurant!

The pizza and garlic knots here are absolutely fantastic! Don’t miss out on a glass of Luccio Chianti. The customer service is excellent, and the ambiance is lovely. The staff was very attentive to our family, making our dining experience even better. Thank you for a wonderful dinner! We’ll definitely be back!

Rico's on Gateway Ave. In Sarasota Well, we (parents and myself) were impressed with the staff, who were engaging and informative. I explained to our server that this was our first. For appetizers we ordered mushrooms, then added wings. Both were great. We ordered Chichen Marsala, Spaghetti with meatballs and a meaty lasagna. All were well seasoned and cooked to perfection. The side salads were crisp, cold and well presented. The garlic bread was crisp and hearthy, obviously as fresh as the salads. The service was always quick and responsive. The mini cheescake sample was a huge win also. We will be returning as I put in an order for their TShirts. My only complaint was no fresh made sweet tea,
