Przekaż informację zwrotnąThis restaurant is decent and it is clean and we chose it because I am a former resident and remember how good it used to be years ago. A lot has changed since. I ordered baked fish and my fish was raw in the middle. I told the waiter only to get a reply it 's cooked the way it 's supposed to be , exacty like this, so I ate the edges and left the rest on the plate. My husband 's food was tasteless as it lacked all the condiments. I must say that we are from Açores and we like our food well seasoned, which on S. Miguel is rarely a problem. So my husband asked for salt and piri piri which the waiter did bring with a cynical smile on his face. Of course we did not tip the waiter, an older man who we could tell is not native to S. Miguel. His attitude was rude and distasteful. We paid the full bill, (45 euros).
The atmosphere is somewhat mediocre, but hey, it's Portugal, that's the way they do it! The waiter was friendly and the fish we ate was just good, as well as the octopus salad we ordered. I would go there again.
We went there with 9 people. The restaurant serves mainly fish (obvious on the azores: All fish we tried were fresh and perfectly prepared. Crab and shrimps were extraordinary. We liked it more than in Lisbon's best restaurants. We can also recommend the specialities of the house. The beef in beer sauce was incredible. Very recommendable! Service was friendly and good!
We came here on recommendation, expecting a gem of local hospitality. We ordered a medium stake, and a grilled fish with Garlic. What we got was a piece of raw meat in a sauce, practically inedible, and a large chunk of cod with onions and tomato sauce, without any trace of garlic taste. 5 tables were occupied out of cca. 15, yet I had to stand up and ask for the bill as the waiter failed to pay attention to us for about 15 minutes. When we told her the food was disappointing, she gave us a sorry for the food however they did not offer any compensation or goodwill gesture. We were billed almost 40 Euros yet we basically left all food there. The only reason my review is not 1 is the special white wine sangria they make, which is very unique and good.
Very good staff. Speaking english. Food was very nice. Fresh and tasty. Tuna steak is beautiful. Veal steak ok ish. Ambient is is very nice kund od a retro in a positive way.
