The ice cream was delicious, but my overall experience was diminished by two stars. The employee appeared to be frustrated while training a new team member. The new employee was doing well, but it seemed like her confidence was not being built up in this environment. I hope that the team can improve their training methods. I absolutely love the Cappuccino blasts at this restaurant. They are incredibly delicious, although a bit on the pricey side. It was my first time visiting this location and I was impressed by how clean it was and the wide variety of cakes on display. Despite arriving just 5 minutes before closing time, the staff member was very kind and insisted on making my drink. I know it can be a hassle to clean up and then have a customer come in last minute, but the staff made sure to make me feel welcome. The only issue was that they accidentally made me a mocha instead of the caramel one I had asked for, but I'm sure they would have corrected it if I had mentioned it. While not my preferred choice, it was still delicious in my opinion.
The ice cream at the restaurant was fantastic – it tasted fresh and there was no freezer burn. Unfortunately, my husband did not enjoy his chocolate dipped waffle bowl as it tasted like coconut, which he dislikes. The cherry on my sundae had a strange raspberry flavor. The employee who helped us was nice, but the two employees in the back ignored a woman who came in at the same time as us. When I ordered the Warm cookie sundae, the employee immediately informed me that the microwave was broken.
Whoever the man was working this morning was incredibly rude to me on the phone. I was asking very normal questions about cake prices and whether or not I needed to pre-order. He very abruptly told me he didn't have time to discuss this withe because he was busy. I'm pretty sure customer service applies to customers on the phone. I called back to speak to someone else and he practically yelled at me when he answered the phone. I cannot believe someone would be so rude to a customer looking to buy such a large ticket item. I told him that I definitely will not be purchasing the cake from him. I will probably never go to that store again.
