Benihana - Santa Monica

My LUNCH DUET was delicious. The steak was cooked just right. The BENIHANA SALAD dressing is always really good. My food was still hot when I received it.

The salmon nigiri was unremarkable. The yellowtail sashimi was 2 tiny pieces of oddly cut fish. The yellowtail roll was similar. Why did they put each of those in its own giant box? No idea. The chicken was so dry, but at least it was generously salted? The spicy hibachi chicken rice was .. spicy, and salty, and had almost nothing aside from rice in it. At least it was a decent amount of rice, I guess. All in all, the food was just edible, and not entirely bland. Expensive and uninspiring at best. I would not recommend any of the things I ordered.

This order was v disappointing. Delivered cold, I live 10 minutes from the restaurant. The portions were ridiculously small. And this was a $100 entree with add ons. I have been to this restaurant many times, and these are not the portions that you get. Save your money; order from another restaurant.

This was my first time ordering from here and it was so good! My husband and I split the chicken and shrimp and then added shrimp.. more than enough food

There is so little BENIHANA ONION SOUP in the container its almost laughable. The HIBACHI VEGETABLE FRIED RICE (Serves 1) tasted stale and flavorless. I added chicken and paid for EXTRA chicken and it didnt even add up to half a breast worth. For the cost, its not worth it.
