El Callejon Taqueria And Grill

I was extremely let down, especially considering all the glowing reviews. The atmosphere was dark, noisy, and overcrowded. The prices were steep for what we received. The service felt chaotic and inattentive. To my surprise, we weren’t offered complimentary chips and salsa; instead, they came at an extra charge. We ordered enchiladas and Al pastor tacos, but the tacos were overpriced and did not impress. The enchiladas were similarly lackluster; after just a few bites, I decided they weren’t worth the calories. To make things worse, the server took away my full plate without asking if I wanted a to-go box. Overall, my experience was disappointing. Having enjoyed fantastic Mexican food in New Mexico, this restaurant simply didn’t measure up.

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant in Santa Fe. The service was poor, the owner was rude, and the place had an unpleasant odor. The bathroom was especially bad, with a foul smell and even cockroaches. I believe it should be shut down.

The food was lackluster, earning only two stars due to its blandness and lack of originality. While the service was competent enough to warrant three stars, it didn’t exceed basic expectations, merely providing satisfactory support without any memorable touches. The most disappointing aspect, however, was the atmosphere, which I rated at just one star. The ambiance felt dreary and uninviting, making it hard to truly enjoy the meal. Regrettably, I cannot recommend this restaurant based on my experience.

The taco selection at this restaurant is outstanding. I had dinner there and found that the cost per person was about $20–30. The food was exceptional, deserving a perfect score of 5, and the service was equally impressive, also rated a 5. The atmosphere was pleasant, with a solid score of 4. I highly recommend trying the chips and salsa, as well as the calabacitas.

The food was amazing, and their margaritas were superb. The music was enjoyable, and the staff was friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this spot if you're visiting Santa Fe!
