Pho Hoa Jazen Tea - Santa Clara

I ordered through Uber Eats and was very disappointed with the Vietnamese food from this restaurant. I got the vegetable pho, and I honestly don’t understand how they could mess it up. It tasted like instant ramen you’d find at a dollar store. Please don’t waste your money here; this is not authentic pho and definitely not worth the $25 I spent.

I just ordered from this place around 1 AM, and I was really impressed with how quickly they prepared my food. Unlike many other restaurants, the speed didn’t compromise the quality, so I give them kudos for that. I tried the Cha Gio, which was delicious, and the dipping sauce was fantastic. For my main dish, I had the Korean steak bowl. Although it wasn't as spicy as typical Korean dishes, it really satisfied my craving, and the portion size was quite generous for the price. I will definitely be coming back in the future.

You can say what you want about this place, but please don't let me hear it. I've been coming here since the early 2000s and while Pho isn't what I order, the chicken rice plate always does it for me, and has been doing it for me for years. Sure the service is lacking, and the seating arrangement gets strange but all that matters to me is that I'm able to get my fix of that rice plate, which btw, hasn't changed much and is consistently delicious. I'm glad this place managed to survivor the pandemic and decades of serving meals, I honestly never had a bad meal here. My mom and I actually enjoy coming here to get food and even she doesn't have any complaints.
