El Comal de Dona Meche

This large, dark space inside a colonial edifice that has not been restored in the slightest offers a number of traditional Mexican dishes, primarily gorditas. The gorditas are pretty good. I've eaten better, and I've more frequently eaten worse at other places. This is somewhere...in the upper-middle range of gorditas quality. It's inexpensive, quick, convenient and near El Jardín if you are on foot. I recommend it. I've eaten there on two occasions visiting SMA, and I'll be doing it again.

It is what it is. A lot of food for very little but its not very good food, its OK food. Still not bad food so if you ask for double meat and cheese to fill the giant gordita you'll be happier.

I was here with my family a year ago and the service was very different, the good was not fresh and I got sick. I won't return neither recommend.

Gorditas 17 pesos (they're big! I chose the champiñones con rajas filling and it was very tasty. There is a great variety of fillings. Quesadillas 10 pesos. Very decent Mole. We spotted this place when we hopped off our bus and it was full of...locals (Mexicans not Expats , which is always a good sign. I would highly recommended this place. To order you write down what it is you want and then they'll bring your order to your table.
