Blue Bottle Coffee - San Mateo

I bought a 12 oz iced black tea. However, I found the price to be too high compared to other establishments.

I wholeheartedly echo the sentiment of the review regarding the unfriendly behavior of the Asian female staff member. Due to my limited proficiency in English, I struggled to comprehend her instructions and had to ask for clarification. In response, she sighed and appeared visibly frustrated, leaving me feeling embarrassed and upset. Despite being a regular customer, I now hesitate to return to this establishment for fear of encountering her again.

I’ve been coming to this Blue Bottle for years now, and it’s stayed consistent all throughout. The vibe is blight and nice, but there’s limited (and not very comfortable) seating. It’s definitely not where you want to come to get a good amount of work done. The service is hit or miss, with a range from nice and welcoming to aloof indifference (as it was when I came this last time). In the end it’s mainly about the coffee, and BB always delivers. While I’m an espresso nut, the iced NOLA is a must try if you haven’t already. Vegetarian options: Most if not all their pastries are vegetarian

I love Blue Bottle coffee. They originated in my home town and I love to visit different locations wherever I travel for work if they have one. This location is especially nice in my opinion! Convenient parking and the staff has always been very pleasant. I’ve always been a big fan of the New Orleans iced coffee. Also the music selection here is always really good too ?
