We were initially impressed by this charming restaurant with a beautiful rooftop that offers a peaceful escape from the bustling city below. Our review would have been entirely positive if not for the disappointing encounter we had with the manager, Natalia, and our server. We ordered three dishes: meatballs, spinach empanadas, and cod croquettes. The first two were delicious, but the cod croquettes were a major letdown. After just one bite, we knew they were not up to par. We informed our server, who promptly apologized and took them away. However, we were shocked to see the croquettes listed on our bill. When we inquired, both our server and the manager explained that in their country, Puerto Rico, customers are expected to pay for all items ordered, regardless of quality. This response was unprofessional, especially coming from the manager, and left a bad taste in our mouths. Therefore, we cannot recommend this restaurant to fellow tourists. Furthermore, we were surprised by the $25 charge for a shot of Don Julio. SMH.
