That is how much I love mojos. However, I was pleasantly surprised that shakeys is now offering an 18" pizza with four different flavors in one pizza! That upped the ante for me. I goota get me one of those! Pronto!
Shakey's for me is an old time place for great pizzas. Been a regular customer for over 3 decades. Last night we went out for dinner and ended up in Shakey's Greenhills- though this one is not the original place where it used to be decades ago but what I love most about SHakey's is that they are consistent in serving good quality pizza. My family usually order either the manager's choice or Shakey's special those are our favorites. last night we had Shakey's Special party size, Chicken n Chips, Spaghetti which are part of the monster deal at Php 1,200 + and an additional order of mojos. As always the pizza is satisfying and delicious with the distinct Shakey's taste that I can't find elsewhere but- when I bite into the Chicken (fried) it was very as in very very salty. And this disappointed me. How I wish I could told the manager about it but I did not bother. Anyway that is the only drawback with this branch but overall the service is good except for the dirt on the floor. I can say the Shakey's Greenhills branch- needs to check on salt when it comes to their fired chicken, make sure that floor is clean and check the tables since some need to be replaced. We spent around almost Php400 per person and we expect cleanliness especially on the dining area and consistent spice blend with less salt on the chicken. lavishlyparsimonious.blogspot.com

I like pizza. After all, what's not to love? It has all the major food groups (veggies, fruits, meats, dairy and bread) and it's no-nonsense, unpretentious food that hits all the right spots especially when your first meal of the day is at 4 pm in the afternoon and you're so hungry you could eat your own arm. But enough about cannibalism; let's talk Shakey's Pizza. I've had Shakey's before and it didn't really tickle my fancy, but that was because I didn't try their thin crust which is what they're known for. It's crispy, flaky, and depending on what type you get, it can also be very flavorful. The thin crust really compliments and highlights the spices, sauce, and meats of the pizza creating a perfect balance of texture and taste. On this visit we ordered the regular pepperoni, Friday's special with shrimp and anchovies and the Belly Buster and boy did my belly bust after that meal. Literally. On top of that we also had their Hero sandwich with fries and an order of buffalo wings. It was all delicious and reasonably priced; about p1800 for three large pizzas, two orders of Hero sandwiches, fries and buffalo wings...not too shabby. And though it wasn't the "best" pizza I've ever had, it sure was satisfying. I think if you're looking for a pizza place that offers a variety of flavors and toppings as well as other menu items such as soups, salads, sandwiches, pasta and dessert then this is a great place to go. In conclusion; good food, good service, good location and all at a good price. Plus you really can't go wrong with pizza...because it's PIZZA!
