The expansive space includes a cafe section and a restaurant area, both featuring minimalist yet visually pleasing designs. The menu is perfect for sharing, and I couldn't find a single dish that I didn't enjoy. I loved it so much that I visited twice during my last trip to the Philippines. Whether you're a foodie or just looking for a great meal, you can't go wrong with this restaurant. It's definitely worth a visit when you're in Manila.
Great tasting japanese dishes but need to make the ambience more Japanese looking and cleaner restrooms.
This is one of the best Japanese restaurants I have ever visited. The quality of the fish and the overall dining experience are excellent. The staff is attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere is authentic. The food is beautifully presented and of high quality. The prices are reflective of the quality of the food, and if you are looking for good Japanese cuisine, this is the place to go in the Philippines!
Tomo Japanese Dining is another house-turned-restaurant places to eat in the Little Baguio area. Word of mouth from San Juan residents have made this place packed during lunch and dinner. I actually only found out about this place because Carlo 's family invited us for lunch here one Saturday. Also, Tomo 's kitchen is being run by a former Japanese Chef from Sugi restaurant at Greenhills. Their menu has a variety of Japanese favorites. Since we were not the ones who ordered our meals, these were the dishes that stood out for me: a) Sashimi/Nigiri sets are excellent! All the seafood were fresh and sweet loved the salmon, tuna, uni, ebi, ika). Their grilled oysters with cheese was delicious. I also like their version of a Pomelo Salad. For dessert, though out of place in a Japanese restaurant, I really enjoyed their Frozen Brazo. Creamy and not too sweet. Since they are still on soft opening, they should make improvements on service. Their staff is friendly but, they kept forgetting our orders, they forget to serve orders and they were pretty slow. I saw a service table with hot rice bowls just sitting there for a good 10 minutes. Turns out, it was the rice to be served to our table. We even requested that they heat up our Katsu curry because it was cold. : Overall, stick to the Sashimi and Nigiri sets. I highly recommend that you call to make reservations especially for weekend lunch or dinner!
If you're a food lover, gather your friends and family and head to Tomo for an authentic Japanese dining experience. From sushi to ramen, they offer a wide variety of delicious dishes in an exclusive and luxurious setting, complemented by the warm hospitality of Filipino culture. The roasted pork Ramen, Baker oysters, Eel with Rice, Tempura, and sushi options are all fantastic choices. Don't forget to try the lemon ginger tea and Leonor's pomelo salad. For dessert, the lava cake with ice cream is a flavor explosion with every bite. Look for the Red lanterns at Araullo Little Baguio for this amazing culinary experience.
