It was the first time to visit this place. On a Sunday while every other place in the area was crowded, this place had only a few customers. First impression was a heavy smell of cooking and a smoky haze in the dining room. Odd.Service was good I’ll say. The issue was with the food and the price of it.Oddly there was not any tenderloin on the menu so went for a quite expensive rib eye. I asked and was told the price included soup, mashed potatoes, and steamed vegetables for a full meal. The waiter explained that they do not cook the meat and it’s a delightful experience to cook it on this hot rock they bring to the table. Hmmm ok.I cook a lot at home. I go out so I don’t have to cook but I’m game. So after a decent bowl of soup, a 220 gram piece of meat and a very hot square rock is brought to the table. On the side plate is a tiny dollop of potatoes, one piece of carrot, one(!) green bean, and two pieces of cauliflower. This is what I paid – umm - 5,600 pesos ($106 USD) for. Yikes. So I’ve never cooked on a hot rock. It takes a bit to figure out how to cook on the rock. So at first the meat was either overdone or underdone. Then the rock cools off and you have to adjust your cooking technique. So results were not so good and delightful. And by the way rock is so freaking hot that some splattering occurs so your shirt will have grease dots when you leave. After finding I have spent a lot of money and am still hungry – I pay the bill and leave. I just can’t recommend this place.

We heard very good reviews about this restaurant before our visit. Our expectations were naturally very high, given the good reviews. Unfortunately, we feel that this restaurant is overrated.Since it is the House of Wagyu, one would expect them to have very good beef, steak, wagyu! We ordered different types of steak and we all had one observation- the steaks were not good! They were tough and the way it was prepared was not up to par. We had to bring up several concerns during our meal and the chef had to come out and apologize twice. This is one restaurant that needs a major evaluation. It is a waste because they spent a lot on interiors and the price is not cheap. They should at least try to live up to their reputation. In the meantime, we would avoid this place till they make major changes.
No doubt about their steaks! One of the best in quality and taste. I loved having my steak on a stone grill as it keeps the meat warm and you're free to have your steak done in the way you want it. Their staff was very attentive and accommodating to our requests. Be ready for the bill! Having a meal this good comes with a cost.
