Taqueria El Grullense - San Jose

We ordered a grilled chicken burrito and tamales. The burrito was quite tasty, but we discovered that the tamales were frozen and simply reheated, which really spoiled our experience. Additionally, the service and overall dining atmosphere were lacking.

Not good; I would recommend avoiding this place. The food tastes stale and of low quality.

Won't go back. Paid $18.20 for a super burrito that was mostly beans, almost no meat and they also forgot to put the guacamole that comes with the super burrito. Not bad service, just didn't enjoy the food. Not worth the price

This place is solid. I ordered the regular burrito and my boyfriend ordered the steak dish. I enjoyed both dishes a lot and I particularly liked my boyfriends steak dish with the warm tortillas. The dishes are filling, fresh and flavorful. I would say to be super careful in this plaza. It's not safe. Bring your valuables with you and try to come with another person. I've gotten approached by strangers asking for things and they came way too close for comfort. Be safe but the food is solid LOL

The portion sizes are generous, and while parking is available at the strip mall, it can sometimes be a bit challenging to find. Restrooms are accessible, and they offer catering portions for takeout as well. The menu is extensive with plenty of options. My go-to order is the super vegetarian burrito—absolutely delicious! I also enjoy meat dishes, though I'm quite particular about my meat. I've been coming here for 10 years and will definitely continue to support this place!
