I was in a position, a local facility called sonia’s kitchen, which has been in the history of san jose for almost forty years since 1981. when the original owner wanted to sell it, woman elpidia bataclan barrera was convinced by her mother to buy it. elpidia is over eighty five years old and still shows every day at work. she was super nice and helpful when I ordered my sandwich. they have four metal tables for eating outside, but I take it home to eat as we are still protected. I ordered the big combo steak sandwich that included steak, paprika, wobble and provolone cheese. I also added the mushrooms to everything else. first the sandwich was huge! I had to use a dose cola for size comparison. I love how the broth was roasted, it makes every bite crispy. there was a lot of meat in sandwich. the meat was tender and was perfectly cooked. there was a great balance of taste, it was perfectly seasoned. they have great standings, right next to sjsu by e william st. and s eight st. in san jose, approx. they are open from 11 o'clock to 17 o'clock Monday to Friday, closed on Saturday and Sunday. if they are in the city of sj and are looking for a fast meal, this is a great place. it took only less than ten minutes to make my sandwich.
