Lucky Chef - San Jose

This is absolutely the BEST salt and pepper pork chop that I've had in the bay area. SO FREAKING GOOD. And they take pride in their food.

Don't let the unassuming appearance of this restaurant fool you; the food is absolutely fantastic! Although the service can be a bit slow, the incredible flavors make it well worth the wait.

This spot is a hidden gem with delicious, home-cooked meals. The owner, who is also the chef, is incredibly friendly. I always leave feeling revitalized after eating here. If I can't eat here, I’m happy to make the drive to Milpitas for some Koong's!

I love this place. I ordered the lunch special braised tofu and vegetables over rice. I am coming back for more. In fact now this will be my pickup location for my grandson after high school and he loves it too, especially the egg and shrimp over rice lunch special.
