Chez Sovan - San Jose

This restaurant is well-known for their Amok dish, which is often sold out before closing time. It is delicious. The chicken skewers are also excellent, as well as the string beans. The curry has a nice sweet flavor. I have been a regular customer here for years. It is a fantastic spot for lunch, but be aware they have limited hours during the week and only serve lunch. The owner is friendly and funny.

If you've never tried Cambodian food before, you should definitely check out this place. It is absolutely delicious! The restaurant has a true dive atmosphere, with a unique location and funky decor (featuring many Cambodian deities lining the walls). The best part is the really good food – I have been there many times and have never been disappointed. They are only open from 11am to 2pm. The owner, Brian, oversees the restaurant while his family cooks in the back. Some popular dishes to try are the soup (shrimp and/or chicken), fried catfish with tomato sauce, shish kabobs, and shrimp salad. Everything is made to order, fresh, and delicious. I highly recommend this place!

This place looks pretty old, but the food is Very good.

The restaurant was too warm. The air was too still. It eas uncomfortable sitting and eating. But food was delicious and service right on. Will definately be back when weather cools off.
