Chavelas - San Jose

The restaurant was cozy and surprisingly quiet. The food was absolutely fantastic. The caldo de res was exceptional, featuring tender beef that fell apart perfectly, along with potatoes and other ingredients. It was just wonderful.

The food here is incredibly delicious, and the customer service is excellent. It's a charming family-owned Mexican restaurant. Be sure to try the Camarones a la Diabla and the Micheladas; you definitely won’t regret it!

Fresh ingredients, delicious spicy salsa, and an incredible super michelada! The super michelada comes with seven tasty, warm marinated shrimp. If you're in the area and craving authentic Mexican cuisine, this is the spot to visit! And let me tell you, the customer service is fantastic!

Awesome great food chilaquiles never fails for breakfast.

I have not been here in almost a year. Came back today and was very excited that Letty remembered me. The customer service here is excellent! There can be a wait when they are busy but they are super welcoming and the food is worth the wait!
