Bj's Brewhouse - San Jose

The only downside was how dark it was inside; we ended up using our phones to read the menu, and we noticed almost every other table was doing the same! It would be nice if the management noticed this and increased the lighting a bit, but despite mentioning it, nothing changed. We shared the spinach dip, then I had a salad, prime rib, baked potato, and a pizookie! That was definitely way too much food for one person—wow! Overall, we had a fantastic time, and I'm glad my aunt and uncle enjoyed it too!

Beautiful ambiance. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive. I went just for the pizookie, and I should definitely remember to share it next time!

I really enjoy dining at BJ's. Although the menu is quite extensive, I've frequently ordered the avocado egg rolls. However, this weekend, I decided to try the ahi tuna salad, and I must say, it was delicious! My husband ordered a soup and salad combo, which included a house salad and clam chowder. Our service was excellent, and the food was very tasty. The restaurant is quite spacious, so I was a bit surprised when we were seated in a crowded area instead of being spaced out more.

We had an order of wings, a side salad, avocado spring rolls and some type of a steak sandwich. Everything had great taste, especially the wings. I was impressed. The waiter was very timely but the music was a tad too loud, but not overwhelming like other places.

BJ's is a big restaurant, that usually is busy. I now have the opportunity to eat earlier in the day. We were seated and received great service. It was not busy at all on a Thur about 1:00. I had a Philly steak sandwich with fries. Husband had a lunch special chicken sandwich. Daughter had a Italian lunch special. Price is 12.99 for them but my sandwich was from menu 17.99. All was really good, no complaints. Fries were crisp. Baked ziti is usually my go to in evening. And Mac n cheese balls are good. This place is comfortable, large menu. Was a great choice for a nice lunch.
