Rakiraki Ramen Tsukemen - San Diego

We enjoy Rakiraki and have previously visited the location in Convoy. It is a popular spot in both Mira Mesa and Convoy. While my husband loves ramen, I am not a big fan. However, the ramen here made both of us happy. The broth is light, which I appreciate as it doesn't leave me feeling overwhelmed. I tried the Shabu Shabu Ramen this time and the broth was delicious. The Wagyu beef in the soup was fantastic, and the noodles were chewy and silky. I highly recommend Rakiraki to fellow ramen lovers. The only suggestion I have is for them to clean up their bar area. It looks a bit messy with all the paper boxes, and the overall look of the restaurant could benefit from being more neat and organized.

I have visited the Rakiraki location in Convoy twice, and both times I was somewhat disappointed. While it is farther from my home in Mira Mesa, the drive is worth it because I found the food at this location to be underwhelming. I ordered the black edition ramen with chashu on both visits, but was dissatisfied each time. The broth did not have the expected black color and the chashu was chewy and lacking flavor, which was disappointing as I usually enjoy well-prepared chashu. The decor also felt lackluster, with plain concrete walls and minimal furnishings. Overall, while the experience was okay, I do not think I will be returning for ramen, especially not from Rakiraki.

SERVICE: The team was helpful, attentive, and friendly. ATMOSPHERE: The restaurant has a modern, spacious, and nice ambiance. However, the bar area looks a bit disorganized and lacks charm. RATING: I had a memorable experience at their Convoy location years ago, but this time, I would have rated them lower if it wasn't for the excellent service. I would give them three stars instead of four.

Food drinksi had one of their best sellers wheels and I have to say it didn't really enthrall me. the short ribs were beautiful, but the broth was kind of watery and lack of deep and taste. the choice of the noodles was also not ideal because the broth was not able to stick to them and provide taste with each ****. service the team was helpful, attentive and friendly. atmosphere of the place doesn't look bad. very modern, spacious and beautiful, but the bar looks a bit like a chaos and without heart and taste. Many years ago I had eaten at the place in convoy and found it worth remembering. but now honestly, if it were not for the staff and their service, I would have looked at three instead of four stars.
