The food is incredible, and Chef Paul Molitor is simply outstanding and a genuinely great person.
I highly recommend the panko-crusted tofu sandwich—it's incredibly flavorful and quite filling. Not all restaurants know how to prepare tofu properly, but this place certainly does. The food is organic, and if you prefer fries instead of chips with your $15-18 entree, you'll need to add an extra $6-10, which does drive the cost up a bit. My husband really enjoyed the habanero chicken sandwich, and we also shared a platter of thick-cut and matchstick fries, which came with great dips and a variety of options. They've recently started serving breakfast and have happy hour on weekends, so I'm eager to check those out! The brunch burrito with soyrizo is also quite good.
I absolutely love the fish and chips and the blazing ahi burger! I can't get enough of their wasabi aioli either. Our waitress, Vivian, was fantastic!
This was by far my favorite restaurant during our four-day visit to San Diego. They were incredibly accommodating and welcomed my entire family on a Tuesday night, even with a group of nine. We had an amazing time!
