Lotus Thai Downtown - San Diego

It was welcome, had a great ambience, so the experience went to a great start. Lunch menu was full of Thai favorites on special, waitress was friendly. Orders 4 specials, two mid-würzige Curries a mild dish, a super spicy dish. Food came and portion size was a little small, but came with soup and egg roll (where not order lunch especially, too small for me). The two curries, both medium should have been similar, but a scorched the pallet led me to belive them mixed the order. The super spicy dish had a mild to medium kick, so I think they definitely mixed it. All in all, it was pretty good. I'll come back.

This is a great place to eat authentic Thai food in downtown San Diego. It is a beautiful walk from the hotels if you stay in the area for a congress or vacation. They offer a vegan menu with various delicious options freshly prepared. I enjoy having the potstickers as an appetizer. For the duck we enjoyed the drunk noodle dish together with a vegetable fried rice dish with brown rice. The waiter was very attentive and checked for us to make sure everything was on our taste. I'll go back there when I visited San Diego.

Delicious food in San Diego at reasonable prices. Service is so good and so fast here and all tastes very fresh. The Tom Yum soup was special!

A friend took me for New Years eve. I had the Yellow curry which was delicious with roast duck. My friend had Massaman and we did spring rolls with coconut ice cream for dessert. Excellent service . I can't wait to go back to try the special roast duck in red curry. I think Carlos was our server.... he made our evening special and the owner also checked up on us. Great food and beautiful clean interior.

The restaurant is located conveniently near the convention center, making it a good choice for visitors staying in the area. However, my order took a long time to arrive and the food was mediocre. I found it to be less flavorful compared to other Thai restaurants I have tried. The fried banana with ice cream dessert also disappointed me as the ice cream was partially melted when it was served. The staff was friendly, but overall, I would not return to this restaurant if I were in town again.
