**Ambiance:** The atmosphere is both upscale and relaxed, making it suitable for casual dining as well as special occasions. The outdoor terrace provides a peaceful setting for enjoying your meal. **Service:** The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, patiently answering all my questions about the menu. **Drinks:** I highly recommend the Lavender Rosemary Mocktail, which is subtly sweet, floral, and bubbly—a perfect 5 out of 5. **Food:** The menu during my visit was part of San Diego Restaurant Week, showcasing some of the restaurant's best dishes. - 3/5 for the Seafood Bisque, which was savory and briny. - 5/5 for the Mozzarella Salad, featuring charred Buffalo mozzarella, crisp shaved fennel, sweet and tart local citrus, candied Kalamata olives, baby arugula, and a honey vinaigrette. - 4/5 for the Dukkah Crusted Market Fish served with cauliflower purée, smoky broccolini, and a tomato-saffron sauce. - 4/5 for the Squid Ink Pasta, which included tender mussels, mildly spicy tomato sauce, shaved Parmesan, basil, and grilled lemon. **Dessert:** The Baked Alaska was a showstopper—vanilla sponge cake, Blue Chip Creamery ice cream, and meringue, all flambéed with a fiery rum anglaise. It’s an unforgettable treat, earning a solid 5 out of 5. **Parking:** Parking is available at $1.25 per hour in the main lot or for free after 7 PM in the adjacent lot.

I stopped by for a quick lunch before a proposal on campus and was pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem. Although they didn’t serve any alcohol, which was a bit unusual, the food and service were outstanding. It’s a great place for entertaining guests or having a working dinner. The staff and management were friendly and attentive. I’ll definitely be back soon—thank you, Cassidy and Zachary!

As a frequent diner who truly enjoys exploring new restaurants, I had an absolutely fantastic experience here! The manager, Zac, was professional, attentive, and exceptionally friendly. I was impressed by the beautiful view and the delicious food, which was beautifully presented. Zac stopped by our table several times to check in on us, making us feel truly welcomed. A big thank you to the entire dining staff, and once again, thank you, Zac, for the exceptional hospitality!

Went to La Gran Terraza for a business lunch and it was outstanding. It's located on the University of San Diego campus within the University Center and they typically offer valet parking but during the summer parking isn't as difficult to find if you don't want to utilize their service. We were served by Nicole (trainee) and April at our lunch today and they started us with a complimentary plate of multigrain bread with olive oil side. For the meal two of us ordered Chell's Shrimp and Crab Louie and one of us had the Red and Green Caesar with Airline Chicken Breast. Both salads were attractively presented and tasted fantastic. They both featured ingredients perfectly chilled and the chicken was cooked perfectly. This restaurant always does a great job with their food no matter what you order. We come here pretty often both for the food as well as to be on the University of San Diego's beautiful campus and have never had a bad food experience. Nicole and April were both friendly and attentive in their service. I highly recommend giving LGT a try.

I was taken here for a work luncheon and it has been the worst service I have ever experienced. We were sitting at the table for over 2 hours and were not served any food. Our orders were taken and yet no food ever came out. They didn't even bring us bread or offer to refill our drinks while we waited. We ended up leaving without having received a meal. I will never return to this restaurant and if I could give them 0 stars I would.
