J&t Thai Street Food - San Diego

Food was served late, appetizer came in last, Pad thai was saggy, the spicy basil chicken was too oily, garlic pork ribs was overcooked and meat is hard to eat off from the bone. The tables were dirty, the order numbers are all over the place and poor customer service.

This place has the best Thai food I have had in a long time. The service is good. The staff are always friendly and nice. They go above and beyond on helping explain food items etc. Sometimes it is hard to call ahead and order. You might have to call a couple of times. But it is worth it. The place is always busy. The only negative thing I have to say is that music is way too loud.

I left the vet with my dog and noticed this Thai restaurant just a few doors down from us. It was cold and foggy out and I just wanted some soup. Tom Yum is my go to and they offer a small bowl here which I was thankful for since I wasn't too hungry. Man, do I regret eating here. The Tom Yum was possibly the worse I have ever tried. It was inedible. It tasted like that artificial lime juice you get at the stores. It was also very vinegary. I don't know how else to describe it besides just terrible. It tasted nothing like what Tom Yum should taste like. This is the only dish I've tried from here but I don't know if I'd ever go back. I don't like to judge a restaurant solely on one single dish but it's hard not to when a dish was so poorly made. I will say the staff were incredibly nice though!

Cockroaches are running on the table, wall, and containers. It was one of the worst restaurants I have been to in San Diego! The staff just laugh about it when they saw it... The food tasted ok, hainan chicken rice was good, but we don't want to share the food with cockroaches!
