Hot Licks - San Diego

I'll come here if I need the really hot extract sauce. You hold the good and you have to sign a waiver. For those who want a regular sauce, they have so many to choose. Staff are really helpful if you are not sure what you are looking for. This is a really cool place.

That's a great deal. We visited on holiday. The staff is knowledgeable and very friendly. To check tons of objects, they could use a larger space! They will even ship and hunt things they do not wear for their customers. We even tried some of the sauces and they are great. Tons of options of dips, marinades, hot sauce, jams, jelly, oils and so much more.

The store is well organized and clean and only an interesting place to visit. The gentleman helped was very friendly and you can say he knows and loves hot sauce. Very recommended place to check out. Ghost Island was the best sauce, great fruity taste at the beginning then a nice burning after.

This place is great. Perfect for the spicy/hot lover as well as the beginners. You have a large selection and great staff. One of the guys here, I'm sorry I forgot your name, but you were great guy. We talked about IB and Ye ole plank. I hope this rings a bell. The hot sauces and the great experience. Definitely will be back in San Diego.

Awesome shop. Had a blast talking to the employees and sharing our love for sauces. Short review on the sauces we got: The Fermented Garlic Hot Sauce is very acidic. Almost like a Vinaigrette. Has a small kick, but I'd say about half as hot as table hot sauce Tapatio, Chaluah, Franks, etc . Not as Garlic-y as I'd like, but solid taste. More for chicken in a salad than anything. The Mango Garlic Hickory is VERY smokey. Almost only taste hickory with a bit of sweetness from the mango. Not too hot despite being on the Carolina Reaper shelf. If you've ever had a fresh Habanero, that's about the spice. 3x hotter ? Than the previously mentioned table sauces. Not a lot of Garlic. Lots of Hickory smoke. Decent, but not if you are looking for extra hot or Garlic sauce. Also got the jar of Mango Salsa Mild. Very tasty and sweet. No heat. Was delicious on fish:
