Herb Wood - San Diego

The restaurant was beautifully decorated, the service was attentive, and the food was excellent. The gnocchi was especially delicious, possibly the best I've ever had. The black was flavorful and tender. My friend tried the venison and was pleasantly surprised, as they typically don't like venison but were impressed by the dish. Everyone in our group was very pleased with their meal. We had the pleasure of meeting Chef Brian Malarkey, who was very gracious. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience!

Wow, where do I begin? The overall atmosphere was warm and inviting. I loved the classic architecture and high ceilings. The staff were knowledgeable about the menu and very accommodating with drink and meal selections. The food was outstanding - I highly recommend trying the scallops. The dessert was creative and delicious. I can't wait to dine here again.

We ate more than we usually do because everything was so delicious. the black bell is to die! the cocktails are also great. douglas waited for us, and he was friendly and helpful; a total of large server. excellent meal without a snobby feeling. highly recommended.

We loved the Brussel sprouts (also as an appetizer) and our waiter was very nice and friendly. the main fillet mignon was tender and tasteful. we would also recommend roasted potato.

The food at Herb and Wood was amazing. We had the Branzino which was tender and so flavorful. I'm still thinking about it. Jeremy, our waiter, was wonderful and made the evening very special. My only negative comment is the noise level is so high I couldn't hear conversation at the table. Other than that..Herb and Wood is a fabulous place to spend the evening!
