Crispy Fried Chicken - San Diego

The food is excellent, but I visited yesterday and found that the health department had shut them down due to issues with rats and mice! I won't be going back, and I imagine others will feel the same. That's just disgusting!

This restaurant seems like it's been around forever—just about as long as I've been alive! I used to come here a lot as a child. Their fried chicken is incredibly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside! Today was my first visit back in years, and I ordered the combo with three pieces of fried chicken, onion rings, and mac and cheese for just around $10. The chicken pieces are huge, making the price of the combo an excellent deal! I placed my order through Yelp and stopped by to pick it up. If you’re a fried chicken lover, this is definitely the place for you! They also serve seafood and gizzards—can’t wait to try those next time!

I was disappointed with my experience at the restaurant. The food wasn't crispy at all, and everything was excessively large. I ordered the boneless chicken, but the batter was soft and the meat was tough and oversized. The large shrimp were similarly disappointing. Additionally, the grain bread served to us was quite small for what we paid. Overall, I don't think I will return, as my meal was so unappetizing that I ended up having to throw it away.

The first time here. Much to choose. I went with the 2 cats 6 shrimps seafood box and I also tried their crab cakes. The shrimps and the crab cakes were my favorites

I have no idea why these asian entrepreneurs are so good at frying chicken. What I do know is I am a huge fan of their food. The mac and cheese is the one item on the menu that is garbage. It tastes like a bland bechamel that's been poorly seasoned and combined with macaroni.
