Mercure Salzburg City Le Sel

The service was very slow, and the food wasn't anything special. The Schnitzl we ordered was good, but the potatos aside were terrible. I wouldn't recomment on this restaurant.

On our first night in the hotel we ate at the restaurant and the food was really good... the service was good too.

When the hotel front desk staff tell you to look at eating in town, you know there must be an issue. Menu very, very limited and chef will not deviate from the menu like other Mercure chefs do. Sorry, but for price paid to meal...quality, walk down the road to Restaurant Beccofino where you will get good food for a great price.

This hotel was excellent because: 1. Lovely room well appointed and with tea/coffee facilities 2. Very comfortable beds. 3. Parking for the car on site at 8 euros per day. The GPS had no issues finding the hotel either ! 3. For us, a good...location. It is about 20 minutes from the old town but we like a bit of a walk. It means parking and access are not an issue. 4. Very friendly and helpful staff. 5. Reasonable price of 225 euro for 2 nites including breakfast but not parking or local taxes . The only issue was the wi fi. It regularly dropped out for us which was very frustrating. Reception did check with IT but they said that there should be no issue.
