I can't get enough of this restaurant. everything that eating is excellent, service is pointed notch, it is clean, everything you should expect. try it!
The other place is a trustworthy, reliable restaurant with good food and service, and actually open late and at whating something so rare in salt lake as albino unicorn with a cotton sweets mane. just go. fun.
VERY 1970's IN A GOOD WAY. The moment you walk into THE OTHER PLACE, the vibes are definately early 1970. The fake flowers, the wallpaper, captains chairs, and a menu that has something for everyone, served with a hint of Greek. Breakfast served all day with huge portions on giant plates. The cheeseburgers are quite large, and come with all the fixings. The gyro, which I ordered, came a choice of soup or salad and fries. I ordered salad, and expected a small dab of lettuce next to my lamb gyro. Instead the waitress brought a large bowl piled with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, olives, lots of feta cheese and dressing. Basic breakfast food, fair prices. It you want a breakfast joint that won't break your wallet and offers pretty typical, non-unique breakfast dishes, the Other Place consistently offers delicious hashbrowns, toast, eggs, bacon and the like and serves it all day long. The service is always friendly, and it's kind of fun to sit in what feels like a retirement home after going to so many of the swanky, hipstery brunch spots around town...
Time warp. A family restaurant with Greek and American standards. Lots of food for the money: $12 special provided a large salad of iceberg lettuce, a main course with several thick slices of roast lamb perched on rice and covered with gravy and accompanied by a baked potato and canned green beans, and a choice of desserts like baklava or rice pudding. A chef's salad was also iceberg with slices of square orange cheese and deli meat.
