I won't be going back. I had passed this place on walks and wanted to try it. When I finally did I couldn't believe it got such great reviews. I walked in looking for a treat for my two year old and the desserts didn't look too appetizing. I finanally settled on some coconut macaroons. I found out at the register that two TINY cookies would be over four dollars. It might have been worthwhile if they were good...but they were absolutely disgusting...like someone had taken corn syrup and coconut and rolled it up in a gooey sticky ball. I don't often find a dessert I don't like, but I took one bite and didn't eat the rest. I can't speak for the sandwiches but stay away from the cookies!
Horrible, $9 for the worst sandwich ive ever had( italian combo). Took two bites and I was done.
I was surprised to see negative reviews on this place. I got the Italian Combo sandwich and found it to be delicious. One review complained of blandness which I did not experience at all. In fact the sandwich had a great balance of flavor from some spiciness to sweet. There definitely was not too much balsamic on it as one person complained. I will definitely be a regular at this place.
It's cute, but.... So Cucina is a cute little deli/speciality shop in a cute little neighborhood and I'm a sucker for just that type of place. The variety of sides and salads is impressive and they all looked very tasty and fresh, but my tastebuds wanted a sandwich. I ordered up the roasted vegetable sandwich on focaccia and while the veggies (onions, eggplant, yellow squash, zuke) were beautiful and roasted nicely (still had bite to them), the bread was so soaked w/ balsamic viniagrette that no veggie flavor came through.
