Truck Farm Tavern - Saint Rose

I attempted to call to place my order, but the phone was out of service. After messaging them on Facebook, a staff member kindly informed me that the phone was broken and suggested ordering online. I did so, only to discover later that two of the meals were listed at higher prices on the online ordering system than what was advertised on the menu in the restaurant. I found this quite frustrating, especially since I was picking my order up myself. The Cuban sandwich was bland and had barely any meat—completely devoid of flavor. Both the crispy clucker and fries also lacked any taste. It's hard to believe a fried chicken sandwich can have no flavor in this day and age! The only redeeming thing in my order were the cat crackers, but even those weren’t worth the $14 I was charged. Overall, I wouldn’t eat there again. It was a very disappointing experience—three items totaling $52 just wasn't worth it at all.

We started with a shrimp appetizer, which was quite good. Next, we ordered catfish over crawfish étouffée and a Cuban sandwich. The sandwich was excellent, but the étouffée was disappointing—it contained only one little piece of crawfish. The catfish was nicely fried and flavorful, but we raised our concerns with our server. He responded by suggesting that we must have had it before and that it was good then, promising to mention it to the kitchen. When we clarified that it was our first visit and expressed our expectations for the dish, he simply said, “Well, next time it will be good, I’m sure.” Unfortunately, there won’t be a next time for us.

I've ordered pick-up from Truck Farm Tavern twice, and both times they forgot key ingredients from my meals. The first time, I ordered a salad that was supposed to have shrimp, but it came without it. This time, I ordered debris fries that were meant to include queso, a soft-boiled egg, pickled cabbage, and roast beef debris, but they only included the roast beef debris. They charge too much to be making mistakes like this. I won’t be returning for their service again.

Delicious Brunch on Sundays!! Staff was very friendly and attentive. It is a hidden gem. Great art work on the inside!

Such a great vibe here!! The waitstaff was super friendly and fun! I feel like every time I was saw someone even if they were in their own little world cleaning they were smiling! I feel bad that I don't remember our little guy's name but he had a cute dad joke every time he came to the table! We will definitely be back and tell everyone about it!
