Ichiban Japanese Steak House Sushi

We returned for a second visit for hibachi. The food was cooked with the right flavor, although it felt a bit rushed, possibly due to the lunchtime crowd, and the performance aspect was lacking. However, the chef at the next table was fantastic. The value is unbeatable, with combo meals starting at just $11 to $17 (choices include steak, chicken, shrimp, scallops, and salmon), which is nearly 50% less than what I pay for dinner in my area. Overall, I spent a good $100 on sushi and another $100 on hibachi! The server was prompt and friendly, and I will definitely return when I'm in the area.

The food was incredible, and the service was the best I've encountered in years—thank you, Cassidy! Dining with a family of seven can be a challenge, but the restaurant was surprisingly well-prepared and didn’t make us feel like a burden, which is often the case when we eat out. We truly appreciated the wonderful experience and would definitely come back again. Thank you!

We visited Fort Leonard Wood for a Marine event, and as food enthusiasts, we were eager to explore the local dining scene. Unfortunately, every restaurant recommended by locals left us disappointed—except for this one. This place stood out as the ONLY enjoyable experience we had. The food was fresh, and the atmosphere was incredibly relaxing. The service was outstanding, and to top it all off, the owner was a truly wonderful gentleman. He was polite and patient in answering all of our questions, and his friendly demeanor was refreshing. There was no arrogance about him; he seemed genuinely humble. I noticed how his staff, particularly the sushi chefs, put so much care and passion into preparing each roll. This restaurant was definitely the highlight of our trip. We'll make sure to drop by again if we find ourselves in the area. Great job, team!

The hibachi side was definitely 5 stars. The staff were amazing and the food was fantastic and fresh. It was also entertaining to watch them cook the food and do some tricks. They were also really good with kids. I would definitely recommend the hibachi side here and go again. If you're lucky, people around you end up talking to you and you get to meet new people and have fun socializing. It was pretty expensive but definitely worth what you pay for because it's a lot of food. The dinning side however is definitely NOT worth it. It's the same price as the hibachi side but you get less food and it does not taste the same. The rice tasted as if it was sitting for a long time with no seasonings or flavor. Not even adding sauce helped change it. The food was also cold and I noticed I only got 4 bites of the steak I ordered...there was no way that was the whole steak. It felt as if I was being served last nights leftovers that needed to get used up. Dinning side was an extreme disappointment to me and a waste of my time and money. I'm sticking to the hibachi side from now on!

So we figured we'd try something different out here upon visiting our son. We called to get a resv. at 4:45 . they seated us around 5 . and about 15 mins later they seated another family at our hibachi stove. So 1st off the place is a very nice place, nice ambience, clean , and full of some other patrons. Mostly all hibachi places are typically the same and although our chef was good, there were a few tricks that we've seen at other places that he didn't do here. Not a big deal though. What was a nice.plus was that the food he cooked was Dynamite. Like really really good....One of the best tasting hibachi places Ive ever had TBH.
