The use of local ingredients, excellent service, and a breathtaking view of the St. Lawrence River and sunset make this a dining experience that cannot be beat. This was a special meal for a special occasion that I will never forget. Make sure to make reservations in advance. We really enjoyed the charcuterie board with a sampling of 5 appetizers of the night. The grilled Paillaison cheese from Fromagerie Ile d'Orleans was exceptional. Thank you for a memorable evening. The auberge on the property looked charming, although we did not stay there. Thanks to Francis and his team for a fantastic meal and great experience.
Excellent food, lovely location with view of river. A must go to place when on the Island. Good classic home cooking at its' best.
Excellent meal, service and beyond. The gourmet food was truly delicious and beautifully presented. Our server was warm, jovial, helpful and made us feel comfortable from the moment we walked in. Beautiful open grounds, complete with a most memorable sunset and views of Riviere St. Laurent and bridge, were an added bonus. Highly recommend!
We had an absolutely delicious meal with exquisite presentation in Saint Pierre, Ile d"Orleans! The restaurant was very quiet at this time of year still early in the season but our waiter Frances was delightful and made our dining experience very enjoyable. The restaurant has lovely water views of the St. Lawrence River and is adjacent to an old and charming auberge. Every part of the meal from appetizers to dessert was fabulous, and the price reasonable for such a lovely restaurant.
This restaurant is one of the few open late on the island so make a reservation before you get there. The service was very pleasant. The appetizers were varied and featured many local products including the cheese Paillasson (a must do). The mains were good but a bit bland. My mom and i were happy to see some traditional Quebec meals that we hadn't had in decades. They were exactly as we remembered from living on the farm in northern Quebec. The only thing we didn't like was the pudding chomeur. It was served in an odd way and didn't have the simple richness we expected.
