Trattoria Amici - Saint-Laurent-du-Var

Today’s special was lentils and cuttlefish....intriguing! The lentles were juste cooked in a light broth, flavoured with slivers of spicy sausage. I was expecting squid and was rather surprised by the thickish pieces of protein on my plate. However they were Ooooh SO tender. I...think the dish would have profited by a little grated lemon zest or gremolata. Served with a light warmed piece of focaccia. Mmmmmmm Seeing the pasta of the day going out I got menu envy and ordered a takeaway. Orietti in a light sauce with Swiss chard, sausage amongst other things, plus a lovely touch of chilli heating my throat. Delicious.

We got off the plane in Nice, took forever to get a rental car... Everyone starving and grumpy! Found this beautiful low key Italian place with awesome food for the adults and the kids! That gnocchi (yum) and the buffalo mozzarella was delicious! Also great...service, all smiling and very helpful. We felt so welcome in France!! Thank you!!!!

Trop bon. This has to be the best pasta, if I'm ever near enough it's a must visit. Grazie così molto per il cibo incredibile

A very good lunchcafé with a super tapas and a kind staff. I was there with a person there was **** himself and he was impressed.
