The son has taken over and has scrapped the traditional menu and is serving small snack meals on trays with plastic knives and forks and drinks in plastic cups. He claims itshygienic. There is no draft beer or bottles of wine any more, beer in cans and wine from boxes/bags.A very disappointing experience.
14 of us visited this restaurant in July 2015 while cruising on a couple of Le Boat canal boats.We were all hungry and looking for lunch on a very warm day and the sight of large shaded areas and a comfortable looking menu drew us in.The welcome from the owner and his son was friendly and once they new we were from New Zealand, All Blacks became the main topic of conversation. Very much so for the son who was a rugby player.The meals were delivered by the owner along with his son and young daughter who was able to try out her English on us which was fun and memorable. The food was very good and the cold beers/drinks meant we had a most enjoyable break on land.
Excellent, family-owned restaurant in the heart of Dijon.
Well situated, mainly outside seating although currently does have a small and very simple inside seating area. The owner is a fun guy and the food CAN be quite good. Honest and hard working, the owner's wife does the cooking and he does his show out front. Like nearly all cafes/restaurants in rural France very quiet outside of season - end May/beginning Sept, Open lunchtimes and evenings. Slightly pricier than some of the other places in town, probably slightly better food IMHO
