Both the Lamb curry and the butter chicken were absolutely SWIMMING in oil, if I had a dollar for every circle of oil I would be very rich. My biggest issue with this joint were the sauces; they were not creamy and thick, which is what you would expect from a curry, nor were they spicy, which is what I requested. Both sauces were the consistency of water and the spices were almost non existent. Unfortunately I can say that the store bought sauces / curries are much better, and I don't even like those very much, so that's saying a lot. The butter chicken had cloves in it left and right which I constantly had to spit out for fear of choking . The rice was... fine and the pakoras were decent, but its pretty difficult to mess those up. I am from Surrey, so I may be a bit spoiled when it comes to Indian food, but this was just disgusting and quite possibly the worst Indian food that I have ever had. I hope that this criticism is constructive.
Poor quality lunch buffet with many items on the cool'ish side. Doughy and dry (weirdly at the same time) naan that was simply terrible. Chalky dal. Friendly server and very cheap pricing isn't enough to convince us to return for a second try.
Went for the lunch buffet. Very low quality food, few items, not tasty, naan too dry, 4 varieties of dal and almost no veggies, just 1 chicken / meat dish, no dessert, no serving cups, no complimentary tea / juices / or any beverage. Appeared only one person refilling the food, cleaning the tables and handling billing. Price was standard $9.99Overall wont recommend this place - not for lunch buffets.
Used to come here a lot. Came for a cheap and cheerful dinner with several friends and the food had gone downhill quite a bit. Its a buffet style and the meat dishes were overcooked and a bit dry, the selection reduced and the server was slow in spite of it being nearly empty. Hopefully just having an off night but be warned. One good thing, at the price even if it is off one comes away full and not felling like you have been ripped off.
Wow. I can't believe this place is in business after eating there. First off all, I had a coupon which I showed as soon as I came in and was told quite rudely it was only for the buffet. But nothing on the coupon read buffet. I should have walked out right then, but I wanted a dish to order, so I paid for one. When paying for my order, the woman tapped her pen impatiently while waiting for the credit machine to work, as if doing her job was a waste of her time. Then the food came... don't ever come here if you've never had Indian before because it is not good. The curry was flavourless, there was no spice even though I ordered medium and usually order hot, and the paneer I got was hard, rubbbery and not nice. The curry tasted like $3 box curry I can buy at the supermarket. In fact, the box tastes better. The only thing that saved it was the naan. The naan was very good. The portion sizes were also good size, but that's it.Maybe the quality of food for the buffet is better...but I will definitely not be back to find out. Honestly, I would have paid maybe $5 for this meal not $15 and not for the unfriendly service.
