On this last visit, we popped in to buy a bottle of wine and have them open it for us to share for a $6 corkage. We opted to try one of their pizzas. SInce one of us is gluten free we tried the gluten free cheese pizza which was light and very tasty. SInce we still and some wine and were very hungry, we also ordered the full cheese board which consisted of brie, bleu, havarti, and swiss. It came with baguette, ciabatta lavosh crackers. We asked for additional lavosh which they were happy to accommodate. On that evening there was live entertainment which although wasn't my favorite type of music was nice to have in the background! A note to the gluten free folks The Staff were very accommodating and mentioned that although the pizza crust is GF, the kitchen was not…which I thought was a nice touch to be so concerned!
We had a great time, the staff was so friendly the manager really took care of us. Food was great, sat on the patio, ordered yummy wine and enjoyed a perfect San Diego night.
A nice, big, airy place to catch some great live music on Sundays. A tremendous selection of wine and love that they have gluten free pizza crust...although odd they don 't do the same for bread. The 'add everything ' cheese board was decent but $18.50 seemed a bit steep.
Spacious place to grab a glass or bottle) of wine and listen to live music on Sundays. Ordered the half size 'Add Everything ' board $18.50) which comes with 6 meats and 5 cheeses. A lot of bread with it, which I 'm not a fan of. I wish they had different options...some gluten free crackers or the like. However, it did come with some fresh fruit which was very refreshing. It is in the heart of Hillcrest and they have outdoor seating as well. Nice place!
I have been meeting friends here off and on for quite some time. I like the open room feel, though it does get a little loud. I like coming on Sundays since there's no cork fee. They have a nice selection of wines to choose from and I can always find a really good Malbec that is reasonably priced. They also have some good food choices to pair with your wine. I really like the pesto ceasar salad with chicken. But I've also had the meatball sub and the Muffaletta on ciabatta. Sometimes a charcuterie board works too. The one woman who takes care of us is always friendly. I've been here for their live music, and it does tend to be a lot louder. The patio is great too! I just realized they only open earlier on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday....great place for a HH after work!
