Jaunt Coffee Roasters - S San Diego

I don't come in every day, but Diego recognizes me, chats with me, and makes me feel happy about coming in. Coffee is good too :

Jaunt Coffee has been my go-to spot for a while now, and it never fails to impress me. The coffee is consistently top-notch, with a rich, smooth flavor that keeps me coming back. The corn empanadas are always a treat—warm, flaky, and bursting with flavor. This time, I decided to try something new and went for the almond croissant. Let me tell you, it was absolutely delicious—one of the best I’ve had. The croissant was perfectly flaky on the outside, with a soft, almond-filled center that was just the right amount of sweet. It’s clear that this place knows how to do pastries as well as they do coffee. Jaunt Coffee continues to surprise me, and I can’t wait to see what delightful treat I’ll discover next time!

Black coffee (Murph) is delicious! It has a deep, fresh coffee aroma, somewhat acidic, and is it sweet at first taste? The scent of burnt sugar? It was such an amazing aroma that I had never felt before in coffee. My companion ordered a mint mojito latte, and even though it was a latte, it was refreshing! I thought it was only available at Fields Coffee, but it's available here too and it tastes good. Enpanita? wasn't bad.

I was visiting San Diego from the East Coast and loved this spot! I am a barista in specialty coffee at home and this has been one of the best roasteries I’ve been to from East to West! We ordered a Mojito Coffee, Cappuccino w/ Cinnamon Cardamom, and a shot of espresso. I always try the espresso first when going to any shop for my own palate development and really enjoyed it, especially after speaking with the manager! Karina made our drinks and seemed to notice that we were talking about what we tasted out of the drinks. She brought us a second shot of espresso to try on the house as a result and let us know she adjusted the yield and that the second shot is how she would typically pull for herself! She was very informative and kind which made us enjoy our experience 10x more (we were already enjoying it to begin with . The conversation was organic and pleasant which is hard to come by in any customer service environment. As a barista and a patron with many coffee shops, I can say that this was truly the best experience I’ve had at a coffee shop/ roastery! 1000000/10 would recommend to anyone :

By far my favorite coffee shop in SD. Its not near my house at all but after going once bc I was running errands nearby, I make a point to go out of my way OFTEN to come here. Nothing else compares! The burritos are amazing (my fav is the green chili one) and my go- to is the lavender latte/husband loves the dirty chai. We can't recommend this place enough!! The service is also lovely, too. Everyone I've met here is just a sweetheart. 10/10 LOVE JAUNT!!!!
