Pomodoro Rosso - S San Diego

I’d rather eat public school cafeteria food. Don’t do it. $3.50 for a single small piece of garlic bread with a side of refrigerator-cold marinara. Found a small black hair in the bread. $11 for pasta primavera that I can’t even eat with a fork, because each time I poke a noodle, it breaks in half, due to being overcooked. Lost my appetite.

We hired them to cater our wedding and they did a great job! The staff was very professional and the owner was very easy to work with during the planning process. All of our guests absolutely loved the food and even asked if they were able to get seconds and Togo plates. We will definitely be eating there again and will use them for any future events we have. They are one of the best food trucks in the San Diego area!

Meatballs god awful. Chicken parm sandwich watery sauce and chicken overcooked. Mac n cheese barely edible. Just a terrible experience.

Just awful. The meatballs were the single worst thing I've ever put in my mouth. Avoid at all costs.

Tonight, we held a work event at SDSU with catering from Pomodoro Rosso. They offered a variety of pasta dishes, a side Caesar salad, and meatballs. I opted for the rigatoni with vodka sauce and meatballs, and I was thoroughly impressed with both! The sauce was rich and creamy, and the portion size was generous (though it was provided by my workplace). The meatballs were packed with flavor and paired perfectly with the pasta. If I had the opportunity, I would definitely return in a flash!
