Przekaż informację zwrotnąWe have been here two weeks in a row. We came for Mother’s Day. The service was amazing my pasta, outstanding, the Bronzino delicious, my husband and future son-in-law ordered lasagna, delectable. We are back again. I had black pasta with seafood and it was wonderful. My friends who are vegans were so pleased with the Barata, pizza and pasta with marinara sauce. We’re going to have the most delicious dessert as well probably ricotta cheesecake! We highly recommend Piazza 1909 ????? Vegetarian options: It’s a Barata, salads, wonderful pasta with roasted vegetables. They are very accommodating here
The salmon special was absolutely delicious as was the gluten-free pasta with sauce. My fried calamari was like cardboard. I've had it before here and it was delicious, but this was just dry and tasteless. I didn't eat the whole thing at all. The lemon tart dessert was fabulous as was the chocolate lovers dessert.
My brother was visiting from Colorado and I wanted him to experience some excellent Italian food and the first place that popped into my head was Piazza 1909. Our time there and our dinner could not have been better. I had the Bistecca Toscana al Tartufo. It was amazing, The Black Truffle sauce was over the top in flavor. I told my brother to go with the Branzino as it is one of my favorites here. He did and he is still talking about. All in all it was a perfect time and dinner. Will be going back again real soon. This is a must stop if you are visiting the San Diego area. I am fortunate to live here so I am to go often.
Our experience at Piazza 1900 was a disaster from start to finish. It took them 15 minutes past our reservation time to find us a table and another 15 minutes to take our order only after we flagged down a server not assigned to us, My fried seafood appetizer was soggy and the gluten free bread we ordered to accompany my wife’s zucchini soup arrived after the soup was consumed. Then there was another interminable wait for her gluten-free pizza that was pizza in name only — toppings swimming atop a thin crust — and my fish of the day buried in an overpowering concoction of tomatoes and peppers. They comped the bread and a tasty gluten-free chocolate dessert but that hardly made amends for our worst dining experience in some time.
San Diego has some great Italian spots … add Piazza to the list!We had a large group with diverse diets and while we really enjoyed the food, patio and vibe … the staff really made our experience memorable!Shout out to Roberta and Chef Stefano :)Try the Piazza patio next time you're feeling Italian.
