Delicious! Had the breakfast waffle, no cheese. Great waffle and yummy bacon.

The blurb from the resturant clearly states that they have GLUTEN FREE waffles, but when we actually got there, turns out they don't have any gluten free options.Save yourself the trip, don't go here if you're looking for something tasty and gluten free.

My husband has been looking for authentic Belgian waffles in the US for years since he came home from spending a summer in Europe. We finally found them. Also, get the fries. I never knew fries could be so gourmet. This place is awesome.

I haven't had Belgian (specifically Liègeoise) waffles in a long time it's unbelievable given I would buy them in packs to snack on while traveling throughout Europe. That said, I was glad to see Mathilde at Liberty Public Market to have them again. Ordered a sweet (strawberry banana Nutella) and savory (maple bacon chèvre avocado) to split with others. The waffles look deceptively on the small side, but they are absolutely heavy. You'll definitely be full afterwards! Waffles are beautifully presented, almost too pretty to eat. They are steep at $9 12 each, so not a cheap dessert to be had. The savory waffle was heavy on the goat cheese it hit me hard! The sweetness of the maple bacon (and maple syrup) was a lovely contrast to the salty goat cheese, but I found the waffle itself (which I assume is the same, sweet batter for the base of all of the waffles at Mathilde) to be a bit strange in contrast with the savory ingredients on top. Not bad, but didn't 100% love it. 7.5/10 The sweet waffle was intense with the Nutella, but balanced out by the tartness of the strawberries. I preferred it over the savory waffle. Just your standard, fruit and Nutella waffle, one that you'd get in Europe. 8/10 These waffles are definitely not a light snack! Mathilde also serves poutine, which I was tempted to get, but I was already really full afterwards. Some other time then!

The food was such innovation in presentation and flavors! The Italian Fries with pesto, mozzarella, and prosciutto was such a wonderful journey for my taste buds! I will always be such a fan of Liege waffles; ahh memories of Brussels. Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience!
